PS I object to the label "Africa" in this context ;)
@dr.fil - the first thing i saw when i turned on the television this morning was people in kenya dancing in the streets. i didn't see obama, i didn't see any poll numbers, i didn't see black americans even....i saw africans. my heart lept. i, too, am the american borne child of an african (my mother is from ghana, mind you), and this is undoubtedly a proud day for africans around the world. "africa" stays.
An astounding day I and the entire world will never forget!
@piran - ....and now we are safe from a bunch of disgruntled american "boat people" washing up on our showers! whew!
Truly a day that will be remembered in history.
Let's hope they'll only allow Obama to rule... but if they don't, the precedent is set.

It's amazing what this exceptional man has achieved. I hope those who cannot accept his victory for whatever reason give him a fair chance. He really is something special!
