Hostess with the Mostest

The Captain and I are hosting my first visitor, an old college friend who is travelling through Europe. I forgot how hard it is to play hostess, and it is even harder with the language barrier, nonetheless it is illuminating to see Wheelville and Slovenia through another person's eyes.

Here are some photos:

I love the lilly pads and the shot of the field. Gorgeous and pastoral. Being a good hostess is hard work but so rewarding to ensure someone has a good time.

Stunning pictures! Love the lily pads. Agreed about how guests make you reassess your surroundings. But I swear if I have to make another trip to Prague Castle.....! lol.

@sdg1844 - Those lily pads are in Bled. Really beautiful.

@felicity & schokolade - Thanks!

@Blkgrl - Are you serious? I just put her on the train and pointed her in the right direction. I did the same when I hosted people in New York. Just having people in my space for days on end (feeding them, answering every question) is tough enough if I actually had to, on top of that, ferry them around, I would simply jump into the nearest river.
